For the 19th time, friends and supporters of Sheba Medical Center gathered at the elegant Carlton Hotel in St. Moritz to raise funds for the charitable causes of the legendary “Hospital of Peace”. At the auction by Sotheby’s star auctioneer Lord Dalmeny, and through donations, over €900,000 was raised for the great charitable work of the largest and most comprehensive medical center in Israel and the entire Middle East. Ursula Bechtolsheimer-Kipp, entrepreneur and owner of the four Tschuggen Collection hotels, once again hosted this magnificent charity gala at her Carlton Hotel.
Not only were sparkling pieces of jewelry from Tornaghi, Sabbadini and Asprey up for auction for a good cause, but Swiss Designer Carlo Ramapzzi also contributed one of his legendary armchairs and German Artist Alexander Höller one of his paintings. 100% of the donations and proceeds from the charity auction will benefit the “Returning to Life” Trauma Children’s Rehabilitation Center and the children at Sheba Medical Center.
In these challenging times, the mission of Sheba Medical Center, the legendary “Hospital of Peace”, is to provide quality, comprehensive care to patients in need, regardless of color, creed, religion or nationality, in keeping with the hospital’s “Hope Without Borders” mission statement.
Sheba, “Israel’s City of Health”, is the largest and most modern hospital in Israel and the entire Middle East. 10,000 healthcare professionals care for more than two million patients every year. It combines advanced medical treatment with innovation centers for medical start-ups and an academic research center for physicians and researchers. The hospital is internationally renowned and a world leader in its research projects and medical services. The hospital was also the first Israeli institution to sign a historic agreement that will promote a range of healthcare solutions through innovation in the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf region.
